Fun little exercise

Posted: February 9, 2011 in Writing

I just finished a fun ten minute exercise. It involved beginning and ending a piece with a pair of spoonerisms. If you are not aware, a spoonerism is where a phrase has been messed up with humorous results. My pair was “But for a pack of lies” and “but for a lack of pies” I wrote for ten minutes and turned out a fun piece. It was challenging and it forced me to work on connecting two seemingly unrelated ideas. I hand wrote it, but will write it into a post later.

What can you do with these phrases? The one about lies is your beginning. The one about pies is your end.
